Lettuce, Deer Tongue

Seeds Per Pack: 200

Description

If you’ve ever had inedibly-bitter lettuce in the heat of the summer, you know how finicky this veggie can be. But this particular crop was grown on a restaurant roof that regularly measures fifteen degrees warmer than the ground just 10 feet below, and still maintained great flavor.

Another Bibb lettuce, Deer Tongue grows spiky green leaves that are easier to cut for baby green salads. By cutting only a few leaves, you can allow these plants to keep growing and producing, insuring a steady harvest without planting more seeds.
