Cherry tomato with a distinct canary yellow color adds visually to salads and dishes calling for cherry tomatoes. Grows well with little disease susceptibility. Doesn’t split easily if watered unevenly!
To Sow
- Date: Start Indoors: March 1- May 1, Transplant: May 15- June 15
- Planting Depth: ¼ in.
- Special Instructions: Make sure to keep soil temperature above 70 degrees when starting tomato seeds indoors. Keep seed starts close to a radiator or space heater or use a greenhouse heating pad. Do not transplant until nighttime temperatures near 60 degrees consistently.
- Germination Rate: 80%
To Grow
- For Raised Beds: Space plants 18 in. apart with 18 in. between rows, leaving room for trailing plants and trellising.
- For Containers: Grow in a container at least the size of a five-gallon bucket. Needs deep soil and at least 12 in. of lateral space.
