Product Description

NEW VARIETY FOR 2015!

The foundation of true Salsa Verde, tomatillos are a prolific and hardy relative of the tomato. Tart green fruits are housed in papery husks that dry and crack when fruits are ripe. After harvest, remove the husks, roast tomatillos right on stovetop, and puree with onion, cilantro, jalapeño and a little salt and pepper for some chip-dippin goodness.

Tomatillos are fairly resilient and easy to care for when grown in full sun with plenty of heat. Trellis them as you would tomatoes for tight spaces, or let them spread out to reap more tomatillos than you’ll know what to do with. Size will range from 1.5” to 4” in diameter.
